This week’s tip is a second health tip on avoiding colds or curing a cold or cough, if you have got one – in a natural way.
Don’t let a cold get you down. Discover this miracle, but everyday vegetable I use to both prevent and cure the common cold and coughs.
In the last weekly tip video about Ravensara, I promised to tell you about another natural remedy for colds and coughs. Drum roll please…here it is.
I’ll let you watch the video where I demonstrate how to use this cure-all vegetable to prevent and cure colds and coughs, but I wanted to provide a little history and background to why this remedy works, and it does work – very well indeed!
It really isn’t surprising that the ancient Egyptians deified the onion. For them, it was a symbol of vitality and a cure-all.
Some facts about the onion:
* We know the onion has been used for healing and in religious rites as far back as 4000 B.C.
* The onion has been used against disease epidemics like the plague and cholera.
* In World War II, onion was used as a very effective antiseptic for wounds.
* The antiseptic vapours from a cut onion, in a sick room, cleanses the air in the room.
I’ll do another article on the many healing properties of the onion. It really is a great natural prevention and remedial and natural medicine, for both internal and external use.
In the video, I explain the external use of the onion to prevent and cure coughs and colds, but it can also be used internally. As it is a powerful antiseptic, the onion helps prevent respiratory infections.
They cause sweating, bringing down feverish temperatures and aid you to sweat out flu and colds. Symptoms associated with the common cold are taken care of by the cure-all onion – mucus congestion, sinusitis, catarrh, sore throat…amongst others. The onion proves itself as a powerful expectorant for bronchitis and coughs.
You can see why the onion was viewed and revered as a miracle vegetable for both external and internal use by the ancient Egyptians. Today, I have focused on the onion as a cold and cough remedy. Another day, I will do another article expanding on the subject of the wonderful natural healing onion.
So, let’s avoid colds. Be happier and get on with life in a better way.
